Where are they now?

After leaving The London I firstly did my midwifery training in Southampton but never practice. I then spent a year as a school nurse before doing the Health Visiting Course at the then Southbank  Polytechnic.

In 1985 after having a whirl wind romance married Mike and was whisked off to Leicestershire to become a farmers wife. I practiced in various Health Visitor caseloads in Leicestershire until our twins were born in 1994, Jack and Lizzie.

I managed to get my degree whilst they were small and then for 5 years  was a Community Practice Teacher. Two years ago I left health visiting and ventured in to Public Health which I thoroughly enjoy. However, with the current state of the PCTs I am as yet unsure as to whether I will be there when I see you in April.

Away from the NHS Mike and I are really busy with two very sporty children, a dog and as we live in a village about 6 miles from Market Harborough we are a little like a taxi service. Mike is no longer a farmer but an accountant but one of his  greatest pleasure is DIY and our house is a constant building site. It is an old cottage which we are SLOWLY renovating... I am the gardener which I really enjoy.
