I got married in 1984, to Adrian. We had Katie in 1986 and Freya in 1988. In 1989 we moved to Hong Kong for 4 years. Tom arrived in 1993 and weighed in at 10lbs 3oz and that was me done with childbirth! We came back to England and had 5 happy years in East Sheen and just as I got Tom off my hands and the chance to go back to work we got sent to Bombay, India. We lived there for 5 years and loved it, I can't believe how lucky we are to have done that. Now we are in Malaysia, in Kuala Lumpur. It has more mod cons than India but much less atmosphere and excitement.
Katie is now at York University and really enjoying being `at home' in a strange country. Freya is going to a sixth form college to do a one year A level course in Cambridge in September and might actually do some work for a change. Tom doesn't want to change over to the British school here (it is time for GCSEs) after a lifetime in American schools and so wants to go back to England, to boarding school. I wasn't expecting to have an empty nest so soon but we only expect to have another year here so we should be on our way `home' before we know it - unless we get sent somewhere else!
