Where are they now?

Busy trying to organise this reunion and trace all the missing members of the Set. The memories of our training are flooding back especially after searching high and low for photographs!

I staffed on Devonshire Ward and then went off to do a Diploma in Renal & Urological Nursing (plus the ENB 134) for a year. On my return I worked in Hanbury Dialysis Unit until I became a Night Sister for two fantastic years. I then worked as a Relief Sister until I was appointment Sister Milward in 1985. From Milward I went into the Princess Alexandra School of Nursing as a Lecturer for the Renal Course for 2 years and since 1993 I've been a Lecturer in Sexual Health. In 2000 I returned to The Royal London on a secondment to Barts and The London for 3 years to lead up on their Practice Development Strategy.

I am still working in Whitechapel in the School of Nursing. I am living with my partner Janet in East Sussex. Having moved down the coast from East London after many years I am now discovering many different new hobbies. Sailing and an allotment to name but two.

In the beginning of 2005 I gave up caffeine and alcohol. On 10 March 2005 I gave up smoking after 28 years. Then in April 2005 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer - two weeks BEFORE Kylie who then stole my limelight.

I am really looking forward to our reunion and catching up with everyone again after so long.

Jane lives in East Sussex
